Story Narratives
Author Bonny Cassidy

Are you a creative writer or an avid reader? Frinj Sunday offers two relaxed and thoughtful workshop sessions and an author’s Q&A where we’ll share stories, spark conversations, and reflect on the deep connections we have to place, memory, and each other.
Led by acclaimed author Bonny Cassidy, this session begins with a special reading from her memoir, Monument, which traces her family’s journey through the Wimmera Mallee. From there, we’ll dive into a guided conversation about personal experiences of local history and environment, and shared reflections on how the past lives in the present. Together, we’ll explore how listening closely and different styles of storytelling can help us understand community, resilience, repair and belonging. Ideal for a writer who loves to discuss history and place, and anybody with a spirit of curiosity, compassion and close listening
