Attending the Frinj
Natimuk is a small regional township in a unique setting
We are a small population of approximately 510, which grows to around 3,500 people during the festival weekend. Natimuk is located several kms from the Mt Arapiles-Tooan State Park on the lands of the Wotjobaluk Nation.
The Nati Frinj Biennale ignites the town with activity as art and performance events are spread across various town venues and in the ‘Verj’ parkland. Walking between venues and outdoor locations for high-quality art experiences or just kicking back with friends is all part of the festival experience.
Here is some useful information to help you have the best festival experience including travel, day visits or overnight/weekend stays, access and food options.

Getting around
Access as you move around the festival
Natimuk is a small town, but after you have walked from one end to the other and back again in the pursuit of high-quality art experiences your feet may be feeling it.
Bring a bike (and lock if your bike is precious) and/or some comfy shoes.
Access around Natimuk will require navigation across cracked and sometimes non-existent footpaths, please be aware of this as you plan your festival experience.
There are limited venues within the township so performances may take place in Band Rotunda’s, old shed’s, historic goal cells, someone’s front room, disused garages – you get the idea. This means that access can be difficult. Not all the venues are suitable for disabled access, but we will try and support our audience where we can.
If you would like access information on specific events and venues, please send us an email.
