Someone in the Dark – Black Hole Theatre

Written by acclaimed filmmaker Tracey Rigney (Wotjobaluk/Ngarrindjeri), Someone in the Dark creates an immersive, interactive experience for a young audience that asks: what if you’re a chick who doesn’t want to hatch? Full of fun and surprises, it leads the children into a mallee fowl’s mound and introduces them to a young (unhatched) Mallee who refuses to enter the outside world. Those plans soon come unstuck! As Mallee and her companions navigate the inside of the mound, animated by 360° images, they find friendship – and a wonderful journey into the world.

Tickets are primarily for children, who can go into the inner dome for the full experience. It is preferable that parents and adults sit outside inside the larger dome and watch a feed of what is occurring inside the smaller dome. Adults can buy a single ticket, but need to bring their inner child 🙂
